starlight cinema and campfire

went to starlight cinema on friday night. This year's at KBU and it's my first time at an open air cinema *yipee!* due to some "biological difficulties" or erm.. something ade cudn't join us so its juz me, chen hung, shyan n hui hui. Well, the movie's not too bad... It's called Because I Said So and it's got Mandy Moore in it. However the sound system is a bit cuckoo and i got distracted by the movie reels rolling nearby. The next time i go, i'll bring lotsa pillows and more food! ^.^ anyways drive thru McD and had nuggets n banana pie! My fav! also visited CH's condo... wah so shuang... get to stay in a very nice condo free...! courtesy of JPA.. if only i'm so smart...

anyways on sat morning i wanted to go line up in front of Kino for the HP books... but... my mom say its too early and forbade me from going. Wasted! i woke up at 4.30!!! anyways.. to make up for it... i slept the whole day till 5.30... anyways because mom was not at home... i couldnt go to soon leong's farewell party (cuz he's going to NTU edi). i dun feel very good about this cuz they probably thought i sengaja dun go or nvr bagi muke or watever... erm... maybe they dun care oso... dunno lah... but sorry anyways...

so i did go to campfire at SAB... but wuz kinda late. but chiann's bro (manning the admissions counter) said if i were a bit later... it's free! i have to pay 10 bucks... but nvm! cuz i support my skoo mah...

met mein and Adam at the 1st floor of Blok E ^-^ mein's there because he is in charge of holding on to some strings to light the bonfire. okay i'll try to explain. It's like if you light one end of the string, then the fire will slowly, slowly burn its way upwards and then! a ball of kerosene soaked cloth will be set aflame!!! then this tiny flaming ball will whooosh! slide down a string from Blok E to a bunch of logs and *WHOA!* the logs will erupt into a waaaaah! Fiery inferno! *clap clap clap!* *CHEER!*

unfortunately... due to certain unforseen circumstances... those scouts forgot to tell the VIP to light the string and they light the logs instead... the little ball of fire just pzzzzzt... and vanish into nothingness in the fiery inferno. MALU!

anyways... the campfire was better than expected and i met lotsa people who i haven't seen in ages... my senior, Mohan's on summer vacation from Russia.. reli changed a lot til i cant recognise him.. and Christopher, who looked like a kid the last time i saw him grew up quite a bit... he wuz a member of the band and he looks kinda cute *teehee*

Andrew was the MC and the campfire had the usual : sketch, games and RA. i dunno why every campfire sketch also have one or two pondans... scouts have a fetish for cross dressing isit? haha but it wuz entertaining ^^ the game is fun... played the love tunnel (as usual) and the RA... i thought it needed more practice... dunno lah.. mebbe the juniors dun look cool/tough enough? hahahaha then got band and dance... not too bad...

anyways hope next year's SAB campfire will be even better... IF they will have a campfire again that is. but i reli reli hope they do! ^-^ *wish!*
